High Point Foundation

A Program For Whole Life Change

From Outcast to Exceptional

Redemption ◦ Transformation ◦ Integrity ◦ Service

High Point Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of justice system-involved, economically disadvantaged, educationally underserved, and/or unsheltered individuals. Individuals that often encounter multiple life challenges and are at the lowest point of their lives with a need to accomplish practical whole-life-change to break the negative cycle of their challenges. High Point Foundation Inc. (“HPF”) effectuates this change through the power of a structured, accountability based, vocational and life skills educational program.

Modeled after the highly successful The Other Side Academy and Delancey Street programs, HPF’s High Point Life Academy (HPLA) is designed as a 30-month, immersive, residential, peer-to-peer driven, life skills and vocational training school. HPLA students will live and work as part of a community and advance through stages of increasing responsibility and learning as they progressively exhibit pro-social behavior and positive decision-making skills. More senior students act as mentors and resources for newer students, as the senior students have “walked in the shoes” of the newer students.

HPF’s wholly owned vocational enterprises—ranging from moving and storage services to property maintenance, controlled environment agriculture, construction and vintage furniture retail—will not only teach vocational, work ethic, and interpersonal skills, but also generate revenue, enabling the organization to remain financially self-sustaining without any government funding. This approach has been proven by The Other Side Academy and Delancey Street, two highly successful programs that HPF is modeled after.

The HPF mission is to offer individuals the platform and tools necessary to rebuild their lives and re-enter society as productive members. By offering a structured path to personal development and self-sufficiency, HPF aims to be a catalyst for lasting whole life change.

Mission Statement: HPF’s mission is to help individuals transition from the lowest point in their lives to a point that represents their personal best, fostering a path to self-reliance and integrity through comprehensive vocational and life skills education.

Vision Statement: HPF envisions a world where individuals facing significant social and personal challenges can transform their lives through a structured, supportive program of accountability, integrity, skills training, peer support, work opportunities, and love – ultimately regaining control over their future.
